No one is perhaps more surprised than I am to find myself living in Colorado. Feeling a call to ordained ministry when I was in my thirties and the mother of two school aged kids, I finally headed off to Lancaster Theological Seminary in Lancaster, PA, in September of 2001 after arguing with God over God’s call for over ten years. Since receiving my M.Div., I served as Interim Pastor in the New Castle Presbytery for two years and as a hospice chaplain for another two years. Most recently, I served as a solo pastor in a small (less than 100 member church) in the Presbytery of Philadelphia for close to six years.

I was born and raised and have lived my entire life, until now in Wilmington, DE not more than a mile from my childhood home. John, my high school sweetheart, and I have been married nearly 40 years and are the parents of two children – Jeffrey who lives in the Boston area, and our daughter Carolyn who lives in the Denver area with her husband, Ethan; and their baby son, Hunter.

I most keenly find God’s presence in the great outdoors and can’t imagine a better place to hike than Colorado. John and I look forward to exploring the area both by foot and on our bikes. I miss the proximity of living near the coast, but already hear the mountains calling my name.
