SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP PLANS
I love that my conversations with so many of you have been full of excitement for getting back together in our own building and beginning our post-renovation chapter!
To fuel this excitement, this post shares a diagram of our new Sunday morning worship structure for the 2021-2022 school year followed by some explanatory prose.
CUC SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP
September 2021 through May 2022
# Sunday Traditional 8:30AM Contemporary 10:30AM
1st Chamber Choir Full Worship Band
2nd Motet Choir Full Worship Band w/ Worship Choir
3rd Chancel Choir Acoustic Worship Band
4th Instrumental & Vocal Solos Acoustic Worship Band
5th Hymn Sing Service Multigenerational Family Focus
To resound CUC’s inclusiveness, the above diagram features a wide variety of musical expressions and ensembles with four different types of choirs and three different worship band formations. Furthering our goal of inclusiveness, some of our former thematic worship services will return, namely Cowboy Sunday and Pride Sunday. New thematic worship services will also be added to our curriculum, the first one being the multigenerational family-focused Halloween/All Saint’s service on October 31.
The time and duration of worship services will shift slightly. As marked in red on the diagram above, we will now have an 8:30AM traditional service and a 10:30 contemporary service, which means that we will gather for each service a half-hour later than we did pre-renovation. As for duration, our Sunday services will occur within a one-hour time span, between 52-58 minutes, as opposed to the 70-75 minute average length of our services prior to the renovation.
Our music team is super stoked to realize our new Sunday morning worship service structure and to share and experience it with you in our newly renovated Sanctuary! Please be in prayer for our music team as we prepare for all that God has in store for us in our upcoming post-renovation chapter.
