CUC Services

Due to COVID, our worship service is online viewable on both our YouTube and Facebook Page. This one service has both contemporary and traditional music. We post our weekly service each Sunday at 8 a.m. Join us at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings via Zoom for a virtual coffee hour and check-in.

At Columbine United Church, we celebrate the presence of God through lively and inspirational music, creative liturgy, meaningful prayer, and dynamic preaching. Worship is the expression of our relationship with Jesus Christ. Through worship, we not only come into God’s presence, but we also contemplate what it means to be a disciple of Jesus.

All are invited to our Sunday worship services! Those who are full of faith, as well as those who question their doubts and beliefs, will find a worship sanctuary at CUC.

Our traditional worship at 8:00 AM combines hymns, the organ, choirs and soloists, and a formal liturgy. The Adult Christian Education hour at 9:10 AM typically relates directly to the sermon for the week and is led by one of our pastors.

At our contemporary worship at 10:00 AM, the music is upbeat and lively, led by “The Band”. Children’s Sunday School and Nursery care are offered during the Contemporary worship.

Children, youth and families are vital parts of Columbine United Church. They help us know who we are and who God calls us to be. Guided by God’s love and grace, CUC’s Next Generation Ministry provides exceptional opportunities for spiritual growth and transformation for our children and youth. Christian education, music, worship, service, outreach, fellowship, and mission are among our offerings. Come and see the love and care, the fun and friendships, the service and connections that arise as our kids discover the love of God in their lives!

Our Next Gen Kid Min program includes the following:

• The Nursery is a safe and caring place with caregivers certified in First Aid and CPR. The nursery is available from 9AM – 11AM each Sunday, and for select events during the week.
• Preschool through 5th grades meet downstairs on Sunday mornings at 10AM for Sunday School. Classes are divided into age groups, and the hour includes an engaging approach to Bible storytelling, maximizing fun through multiple learning styles and interests.

Our teenagers are a dynamic expression of CUC’s energy and progressive values. We are creating an environment where our teenagers are awakening to the presence of God within themselves, their peers, and the world!

Worship Participation is a great way to connect with the larger church community. We have a few rows reserved for Youth at the back of the sanctuary, on the right side. We gather there each Sunday for the 10am worship service.

Sunday Youth Groups meet throughout the year from 6-7:30 PM. High School Youth are 9th-12th grades and Middle School Youth are 6th-8th grades. We design this time to be informal and relaxed so that we can disconnect from the stress of the school week and reconnect with our faith and our friends. We play games, worship and talk about ways to live a Christian life as a teenager.
